About Us
OUR STORY

In 2014 God began to speak to Rev. Obadiah and his wife Genola about starting a church in Trinidad and Tobago while they were on vacation. The vision was planted in their hearts to reach people who feel like they do not connect to the normal church. After many years of praying, planning and dreaming God released them to come and start LiveCurrent in 2018.
Rev. Obadiah and Genola have a goal to share their passion for Jesus with people, equipping them to share their passion for Jesus in their home, work place and community. They believe in making sure the believers are relevant in the community, so people of every age, background and culture will come to know Jesus. They feel that the LiveCurrent should be a community where every need is met physically and spiritually. Our prayer is that God will use LiveCurrent to make disciples of Jesus in Trinidad and Tobago and the world. LiveCurrent is a Movement that is Life Giving, World Changing and a Place of Miracles through the power of Jesus Christ.

VISION, VALUES & OUR BELIEFS
VISION

Our vision is to be a Movement that is Life Giving, World Changing and a Place of Miracles through the power of Jesus Christ.
VALUES

LIFE GIVING: Deeper-To grow past surface level. We desire to see people grow in their spiritual life, work life, family life, personal life, and marriage. 2 Corinthians 13:11, Colossians 1:10, Colossians 2:6-10, 2 Peter 1:2-9
WORLD CHANGING: Overflow-To fill a space to capacity and spread beyond its limits. Wherever we go there should be an overflow of Jesus in our lives that affects people around us, in our home, in our work place, in our community, in our country and in the world. Mark 16:15-20, Philippians 1:9-11
OUR BELIEFS
We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.
2 Timothy 3:15-17,1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21
We believe in one true God, loving and holy, who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10,11, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, dying on the cross in our place, and rising up again to prove His victory over sin, all to save and redeem us.
Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 7:26, Acts 2:22, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 53-57, Matthew 28:6
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and from His purpose for our lives.
Genesis 1:26,27, Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12-19
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and be saved, we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
Romans 10:13-15, Ephesians 2:8, 1 John 1:5-10, Acts 2:38, 3:19
We believe that sanctification initially occurs when you become a follower of Jesus and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as you continually draw closer to God and become more like Jesus.
Romans 12:1,2, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 1:15,16, Philippians 2:12,13
We believe the Spirit of God indwells every believer. The fruit of the Spirit is the by-product of a spirit-filled life and evidence of spiritual maturity. The gifts of the Spirit should be earnestly sought and used to serve others, edify the church, and glorify God.
1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:16, Galatians 5:22-25, 1 Corinthians 12, 14:1, Romans 12:4-8
We believe every Christian should seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, to receive power to be an effective witness for God throughout the world.
Acts 1:4-5, 8, Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:6
